This machine has a clutch and gearbox and uses a double spring pull starter. When you pull the starter is loads up tension in the second spring which eventually overcomes the compression and fires the engine over. We can help by first giving a short pull to find compression resistance, recoil and then go for the starting longer pull. A longer pull is required but there is less force required and a generally softer feel to the starter.
