adding cruise control

21/10/2014

a simple cruise control mod for the carbon throttle.

Only requires 3 parts.

A button head hex bolt 4mm thread by 15mm long

The thinnest washer you can find with 6.5mm hole. I ended up cutting up the lid off an ice cream tub to make a washer... Then promptly found the perfect washer in my tool box.

A 4mm threaded thumb wheel.

Using 2x 2.5mm Allen keys, remove half of all the hex bolts and the 3 small nuts to open up the carbon throttle.

Slide the trigger off the brass collar.

Remove brass collar and bolt, replace the collar using the new 15mm bolt. On the back strap side. Make it tight.

Slip over the washer. See my white plastic one in the pic.

Now put the throttle trigger back on and note the trigger is now a tiny tiny bit proud of the brass collar.

Re-build the throttle handle & refit all the button hex bolts. Lastly thread on the thumb wheel over the protruding thread.

You probably got here from google. Here is all the miss-mash of text and information from word of mouth, from forums, from news casts, emails, Q&A, everything and anything related will be lost in these pages. Use the search tool to dive deeper.
